As the news media frequently report that the New York City annually pays millions of dollars to people making legitimate claims about police misconduct, a friend of mine desiring to sue the NYPD, trying to identify an appropriate lawyer, asked to find a list.
Apparently, none exists.
Why not I can’t figure, given that the legal profession depends upon gathering optimal information.
Surely, as details about individual settlements are public, gathering them together should be easy.
